Have you ever seen a truck full of bees?

What's new at the farm

The past week has been a transition time for the farm: the bees have started to arrive from Vancouver Island back in Saskatoon!

Summer weather seemed to hit us in full force this week as we were facing +30C temperatures and smoky weather from the wildfires in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

These are not ideal conditions to move bees, but we have to work with what we've got.

That means loading the bees at night and then unloading them as fast as we can once they arrive in Saskatoon.

Try this recipe: Honey Iced Chai Latte

With the summer-like temps, who doesn't love an iced drink to stay refreshed?

In my first year of university, I got a job at Starbucks and I loved drinking their chai lattes.

But...did you know that their grande size contains 42 g of sugar? That's nearly your entire day's worth of added sugar!

Needless to say...I definitely experienced the "Freshman 15" after a year of near-daily consumption of my favorite drink.

Well, this homemade version uses our infused Cozy Chai Honey as a healthy and delicious flavoring for an iced chai latte.

Using 1 tsp of honey + 1/4 cup of whole milk brings it to a total of only 9 g of sugar, making it a much healthier option than the Starbucks version.

This recipe is so easy, you'll be sipping your tasty drink in just a few short minutes!

Check out the recipe on our Bee-log here.

Wishing you a happy long weekend! Hope that you get to enjoy it outdoors or spend it with your loved ones, and that iced latte in hand.

Take care,
Angela
